Yes, it may sound like a name concocted up by the ‘Perfect Curve’ PR team in BBC’s TwentyTwelve, but with Bombay Sapphire involved – we can’t complain! ‘Ginbilee’ is a collaboration between the iconic gin and five creative British talents, looking to reinvent one of the Queen’s favourite tipples – the Gin & Tonic.

The creative bunch include David Carter, interior designer and owner of East London hotel 40 winks; Fiona Leahy, event designer and producer; Robbie Honey, globally sought after florist; Anna Bullus, award-winning product designer; and Rhea Thierstein, renowned art director. Where was my invite?

David Carterʼs Bombay Sapphire ʻThe Last Raspʼ G&T Infusion has been created using Bombay Sapphire, Fever-Tree Tonic Water, Raspberries and Basil, whilst Fiona Leahy has designed her Bombay Sapphire ʻDiamond Roseʼ G&T Infusion using Bombay Sapphire, Fever-Tree Tonic Water, Rose Flower Water and Mint.

Robbie Honey has crafted his Bombay Sapphire ʻOrange Blossomʼ G&T Infusion using Bombay Sapphire, Fever-Tree Lemon Tonic Water and Orange Blossom Honey whilst Anna Bullus has reimagined the gin and tonic with her Bombay Sapphire ʻSouchong Fizzʼ G&T Infusion using Bombay Sapphire, Lapsang Souchong Tea Syrup and Fever-Tree Tonic Water.

Rhea Thiersteinʼs imaginative Bombay Sapphire ʻZesty Surpriseʼ G&T Infusion has been created using Bombay Sapphire, Fever-Tree Tonic Water, Grapefruit and Vanilla Sugar Syrup which, when blended together, goes through a process of ʻtransmogrificationʼ to create a new unique flavor – of chocolate!

Each of these creative concoctions will add a twist (of orange) to your G&T Jubilee celebrations at home. However, if you feel that you’re in need of a little help in the mixology department – Bombay Sapphire is already one step ahead! You can learn how to make all of these at special ‘Ginbilee’ Master classes on Saturday’s 12, 19 & 26 of May at The Rib Room Bar & Restaurant, Knightsbridge. Taken by brand ambassador, Sam Carter, you’ll be taken through step-by-step & even get behind the bar to get your own creative juices flowing.
